Got to be honest, I'm struggling to find a good reason why this website exists, but what the heck, might just as well have the thing here, until I can come up with something.  Failing a strike of inspiration, the biggest reason, would be for those people who are thinking of building an extension on their house, as you can probably see from the menu on the left hand side, a fair section of this site is dedicated to our current house extension. In a way I'm hoping it motivates the builder (Peter Miles) to make this job a stunning example of efficiency now that he's being broadcast across t' internet !!

However, for those of you who know us, the rest of the site is full of the usual photos of family, friends, children, cats, cars, lets be clear - pretty much anything that stands still for a few minutes will get snapped and stuck up here.

So a brief summary of what's available for your browsing pleasure would be:

  • The Extension - complete story, right from first thoughts, all the way through architect, costs, estimates, tendering, final selection and then more importantly a day by day diary of the actual build - basically the complete roller-coaster.  By the way, for those with a suicidal tendency (and having a estimated completion date one month before baby number 2 is due to be delivered, is suicidal in my book) you can see if its recommended to do this operation with a hormonal missus.
  • Photos - Initially I was very enthusiastic of taking photos of said "nipper" and publishing them on a monthly basis, however, I must confess that this has tailed off a little, as I now tend to spend most of my time in a darkened room bemoaning the cost of fatherhood and lamenting my curiously missing social life, but clearly the answer to this is to have another child - I'll keep you posted on this ...
  • Amusing "Stuff" - just a brief collection of emailed stuff that amused me, this I think displays a worrying indicator as to where my sense of humour lies. You must read the NTL complaint letter - I was literally crying out loud with laughter the first time I saw it, but it must be getting a bit old hat now.
  • Contact Us - against Jill's better judgement, I've stuck our contact details up, her argument was that there's a lot of weird people out there on the internet, I've carefully explained that I can't imagine any of them being weirder than us - somehow we make the Osbournes look functional.

Anyway, I hope you find the site useful, feel free to send abusive / compliemntary emails, ridiculing my complete lack of web design sense, poor HTML / .NET coding skills, etc.

cheers

Stu (delivering yesterdays technology tomorrow ...)
